The traditional hand-carved and logo printed  matcha scoop is made of strong, durable bamboo and it's designed to help to portion the
right amount of Matcha needed.

 

One heaped scoop generally equals to about 1 gram.

 

Using bamboo scoops are organic and totally chemical-free, eliminating the risk of passive toxins. 

Soak scoop in cold water for 2 minutes before its first use.
Rinse and wipe the scoop after each use
and carefully pat dry before storing it away. Do not leave wet to avoid damage.

Bamboo Matcha Scoop (Chashaku) is perfect for preparing matcha green tea with the ancient art of the Japanese tea ceremony. The scoop is the authentic way to measure matcha for brewing. Each scoop holds 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of matcha powder, perfect for one to two ounces of tea. It conveys just the right amount of matcha from the tin to the brewing cup. Use this to carefully scoop matcha powder into Traditional Ceramic Bowl, 1-3 heaped scoops, depending on how strong you like it.

 

With its slender and elongated shape, the bamboo tea scoop (chashaku) is used for measuring and transferring matcha powder into a tea bowl.
One spoon is about 2g of powder, the exact quantity needed for one serving of matcha or houjicha powder.

Cleaning instructions: use a damp cloth to wipe down the tea scoop after each use. Do not use soap.
